You explore five disparate regions from a top-down view, upgrading your character and earning new loot as you battle the lords of the underworld and their monstrous swarms. Basically, when you die, that enemy becomes a nemesis and can invade your friend's games. If they kill it, you and they get rewards. If it defeats them they can be tough. It's fun and tense you'll hear drums before it appears, and the player it is hunting will have their controller vibratebut it's worth adding a few people who play just to experience it. It feels like I have glossed over so much of what the game has to offer, with all of the updates and expansions there is so much to do and enjoy. Sure, the Nintendo Switch's lack of a proper voice chat solution are well documented but others like Epic Games with Fortnite have found ways around it. Between that time and now, I had a chance to grow up, witnessing the ever changing growth in the video game industry.
